My little girl turns two

-Life comes at you fast-

This quote is one that my dad has given to me many times. Only now am I realizing how true it is. As a kids we wish time would hurry up. As we get older, we hope for the opposite. Everyone knows this to be true, but when you stop and take account of the time, the days, the birthdays, it’s almost scary. Good incentive to slow down, take notice and be with the people that matter most in your life.

It was yesterday, plus a day or two in between, that my little girl was born. Now, she’s two. How did that happen? It’s hard on a daddy to see his princess getting way too big way too fast. At the same time, each stage gets funner and funner. She’s really coming into her spunky little ‘diva’ personality (that I”m sure I single handedly created by giving her more attention than any ego could handle) and it is so fun to experience what each new day brings. The things our children learn amaze me and excite me.

This is what I think I’ll look back on as one of the greatest periods of life. I’m diving in, soaking it up, and going through it all with my eyes wide open, starring at my kids and my wife. Too soon this will be a long time ago. Enjoy the time we have, enjoy the now and take time to love people who are important to you.
